These Penguin Little Black Classics are some of my favorites. I have a collection of all of Kafka's work in these editions. The precision in typography, the delicately tight margins and precise leading makes the rich content unputdownable... if that's a word :P

I think there is a lovely serendipity about choosing seven short stories like that. They are short but my goodness they are nuggets of wonder. I think reading exercises like these help promote mindfulness and certainly help with well-being. I love to walk and "read" nature like a Thoreau might, and in cafes dive into books. I have read several of those small classics and other series.

I've read The Nose and I loved it. I'm currently reading The Meek one and I'm enjoying that one as well. Dostoevsky can do no wrong in my book. He bends your mind, in a good way with his works 🤭

I really enjoyed reading Stories of Your Life and Others by Ted Chiang and The Paper Menagerie and Other Stories by Ken Liu. Love how both authors build rich worlds with so few words.

Read the Tell-tale heart and loved it. Will definitely read more Poe! I'd like to recommend Joyce Carol Oates, O. Henry and Jhumpa Lahiri's short stories- all three are absolute masters.

I have read «The Meek One» in Russian twice. Great novel. By the way, in Russian it sounds "Krotkaya" (Кроткая). And I also watch a movie by Robert Bresson
