ANSWER: the spring on the chicken plate is to hang it on the wall it's a decorative plate hanger, someone had it displayed. Hope that helps!

I think that ceramic frog was a flower frog! It’s used to arrange flowers for proper spacing. You put it in a vase and the stems go in the holes! Super nifty!
