Effectively utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the grand challenges facing organizations across the globe today. Digitization has been greatly accelerated with the COVID-19 pandemic, but AI continues to be a lingering and difficult challenge. Machine learning (ML) is the dominant part of any working AI system and has a huge dependency on data. Despite being so essential, most organizations struggle to make data work as an enterprise asset. Dr. Usama Fayyad, Inaugural Executive Director at the Institute for Experiential AI (IEAI), discusses the myths vs the realities about AI, the role of data in the enterprise, and where humans fit into the story.
