i think the biggest problem with dreams music is that he doesn't give the song time to breathe. it just feels like it's lyrics after lyric after lyric, and because of that, 1, it's starts to feel fatiguing, and 2, he starts running out of things to say. he definitely has a lot of potential as an artist in my opinion

If you listen to the songs in order, you can hear how Dream's vocals change and grow even over just these three releases. In Roadtrip he's just starting out, in Mask he experiments with adding more power to his sound, and in Change My Clothes he's starting to settle into a style that fits his range and tone.

a little context: "masking" is a common term when talking about things like adhd or autism. the definition from wikipedia is *_the process in which an individual "masks" or camouflages their natural personality or behavior to conform to social pressures, abuse or harassment._* so basically it's pretending to be neurotypical to avoid ableism

I feel so dumb. I've heard these songs before and I had no idea it was dream 😂 like I kind of knew he could sing because he does it randomly when he's streaming. Way better than I would have expected.

When I think about how great all the songs are, especially the one with Alec Benjamin, it seems crazy to remember that they did all of this without ever speaking face to face since he did his face reveal later on... crazy how it sounds so good and they just discussed it over the phone!!!

i really like dreams songs, i think his tone is kinda nice, especially once you've gotten used to it a bit. an album with songs like change my clothes would be so awesome!

This was great, I'm glad Roomie covered Dream. It's wonderful how Roomie always notices drums and Jonas training and August unique choices in the songs. The three together are teaching my ears quite a lot.
