Heya,

I released a project back in April of 2020 when none of us knew what the future would hold, but amid all the confusion and anxiety ridding our world that project got me the traction I needed to kick-start my music journey.

A few months later after lockdown good bookings and personality appearances came my way and things started to look like what I’d dreamt about.

Tragically while setting up for a show a year later the vehicle that was carrying all of my team & I’s music equipment got broken into and everything I’d ever worked on got ripped right out of my hands — it was this moment that led to a downward spiral of my mental state.

I felt like I let myself and everyone around me down; thoughts ran through my head about whether this path I was taking was worth it or if it was just a waste of time — would I just end up as a statistic of another artist in Botswana who would make good music but never really breakout as someone significant, this was a dark time.

Subsequently I stopped writing songs, took a pause on working in studio and that ultimately led to no bookings; how’re you going to make it with no bookings? Yeah, I knew I had clout in the micro-circles of the industry and people were still streaming the music but without any drive from within all the external signs of who I could become started fading away and now I really looked and felt like “another Botswana artist that never made it”.

Hey man, I fell off before even getting anywhere and I know some people will say, “you shouldn’t be saying this type of stuff online ‘cause you look desperate” but my supporters and people who have been riding this Brian Rasesa wave know that I have built this currently tiny platform on the pillars of love, hope, peace and transparency.

So hey, this may feel like one but it’s not a sob story! This is me telling y’all that I’m back on full attack and if there’s anything that the past three years have taught me is you can’t keep a strong man with a dream down!

I love everything about this song, the music, the lyrics and the feeling I get when listening to it. It’s a song about losing someone who ends up moving on and now you’re hoping that healing will come as time goes on but somehow that feeling of hurt still lingers closely.
