this is korea exclusive and included in every game for korean people because of how accessible computers are with pc bangs and how easily they can lose track of time as a result. some law might play a factor but the two reasons listed are the main ones

I lived in Korea and it was so hard getting a korean account after playing 150 ping NA. My homie had to get his grandmas number because our American Korean numbers didnt work for accounts. It was so nice playing without lag. I finally found out why jett was actually fun to people. This was when the game released and got out of beta because korea didnt have the beta. I forgot about those alerts and its nice to finally see them again.

PC bangs cost around 1000won(Around 1 dollar) to play for 1 hour on a seriously high speed internet and good air conditioning alongside a good PC.
The problem is, since a 1 hour timer exists, if you want to play on the PC constantly without being logged out midway through, you'd need to recharge 1 hour again on the front desk where you have to enter your money into this robot like thing.
Because people don't know the flow of time that well, sometimes you could lose your round because the PC force logouts you, which happens a ton in league games.
Valorant might just have the same rules applied to it.

I really like this feature. Korea demands it as a country but if you look at a game like warframe, they tell you because the game can get addictive and you may sit for hours and hours and I think that is very kind of the developers.

Korean server is pretty interesting. Feels like Asian server's gameplay level is higher but Kr server is more competetive. They really hate to lose. Not a bad choice to try once

This is a thing for lol too on the kr server. They tell you how long you've been playing and remind you to take breaks every few hours
