good watchable series. the original film with jeremy irons was perhaps more powerful though. morally very ambiguous situation. one can understand that the woman would be very hard to sexually resist in reality, and we all want excitement of this sort, else life can be extremely boring. but this shows how weak the man was and perhaps how detached he was from his family, particularly his children. in fact did he even care that much about them? just a provider it would seem.
whilst watching this i always felt very very bad for his son. he loved, respected and trusted his father. he was seriously betrayed by both his father and his fiance simultaneously. brutal!

I find difficult to see Armitage the actor playing steamy love scenes with a woman, since he likes men.
That is the problem when actors make public what should remain private, the make believe is gone, we start joking that maybe the actor that plays the som should bring home his buddies...
