Sinéad O'Connor funeral: Fans bid farewell to legendary Irish singer

"The more she sang and spoke about her own pain, as well as the pervasive sins in society… the more her words resonated with listeners" - the words of the Imam who led the Muslim funeral prayers for singer Sinead O'Connor today.

Fearless when it came to calling out injustice, many of her personal struggles were also played out in the public gaze.

And today, two weeks after she was found dead at her London home, the public flocked to the Irish town of Bray, where she lived for many years, to pay their own respects.
