Jada Pinkett Smith Celebrates New Hair Growth Amid Alopecia Battle

Jada Pinkett Smith is celebrating her hair's progress amid her battle with alopecia. The 51-year-old actress took to her Instagram on Monday to share before-and-after selfies of the journey. Though her hair appears shaved in the first photo, in the second Jada reveals that it's now gotten long enough to dye blonde! "This here hair is act'n like it's try'n a make a come back. Still have some trouble spots but — we'll see. Slide 1: Past Slide 2: Present," Jada captioned the exciting post. The former "Red Table Talk" host has been open about her alopecia since sharing her diagnosis with the world in 2018. Last September, Jada posted a glam Instagram selfie embracing her look. "Happy Bald is Beautiful day to all my brothers and sisters with no hair," she captioned the post.

I mean I'm happy for her but like for real if your having this hair problem issue the first thing you decide to do is DYE IT 😳😳🤔 . I don't understand that if she isn't careful it can damage her hair and the whole point of it growing back would of been for nothing. Lets hope she keeps it moist with hair lotion etc.

She was totally full of baloney about having alopecia. The night when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, Jada didn’t have a bald head but hair was growing on her head. Now all of a sudden her hair is back! Jada just needed attention.

I am happy that she is feeling better although it doesn’t look like she lost much hair to begin with, mostly that she was shaving it and now she has chosen not to either way. I’m glad she’s happy.
