I’ve been using the Filson small field bag and medium field bag for years. My lifestyle is more active now so I decided to give the Insidious Jr a shot. Really appreciate you taking the time to show us both of these.

I sorta wish they had a 14" version in between the 12" jr anf 16" regular. 16" isn't super crazy, I have an Aer Travel sling which is 16" x 11" which is just fine and takes a 16" laptop no issue. What hurts the regular is the height is only 9", its plenty long, but most 15-16" laptops need at least 10" of height to be useful. I understand if they don't want to make something with that height, but if they are gonna stick to 9" the longest the sling needs to be about 14" to accommodate a 14" laptop as this video shows.

These come with a beautiful leather front panel (2 colors) for only $20 more. This is the king of bags

The regular defy has such awkward dimensions for a sling. At that point I think I would rather get a messenger bag or a sling backpack
