Same issues - I had purchased 2 cameras - returned 1 in warranty after the flood light cover fell off 1 week before warranty expiry, now the other one lost connectivity, moisture damage inside camera had to open and reseal it myself and fortunately worked again -however condensation right into the lens which seems unopenable causing picture to be too blurry probably will need to drill it out carefully 😢 what a waste of money - not to mention the claim 2 hours a day sunlight is enough - have to charge it one or twice a year and the charging port is is positioned in a tricky mounting place - cannot even permanently have a charging wire connected 😢😢

I believe Eufy warranties these against this defect & why they changed the model.

Same happened to me, out of warranty these are the first models and are known for this issue, that is why they have changed the models now. Newer ones supposedly don’t do this.

Good for about 2 years until the sunlight that’s needed to charge it damages the lens making it too cloudy to see anything in focus

There needs to be a Class Action lawsuit, I have 6 of these S40 Cameras, they have filled with water, I have had to tape every seam with waterproof tape, the Solar panel is cloudy and peeling... I will be replacing them with another brand...

Is that a protective removable film or was that actually part of the solar cell? At least it didn't yellow or fade.

Same thing happened to mine... water got in and fucked the led spotlight... but also put condensation on the lens so now everything is foggy..

I have the same stains on the lent, it makes the vision blurry. Any advice?

You can put UV V07 spray on it and it won't get damaged

I have mine for 2 years and it is completely fine, so my guess is it's probably the conditions it is used in. My guess is you experience quite intense weather changes between summer and winter
