What if Need for Speed 2022 is like this...

I had a nightmare and this was a reality... this is also the first time I've ever played this NFS game. NFS 2022 is meant to have cartoon elements... could it be something like NFS Nitro?

I always found it weird how racing games tell you take it to the track in real life and not be dangerous, yet there’s not a single warning in shooting games just something random I thought of

i remember this game, i played the ever living shit out of it. multiple runbacks, all the cars, completed the story, etc. there's actually a shocking amount of content in what is essentially a Wii side game to gain anything out of that market. i got it back for my very real very legal not emulated Nintendo Wii and its honestly nowhere near as fun as i found it before, but i can see the charm, and i can recognize its quality. the art style is actually kind of charming, the progression is solid, and the driving model while barebones is way too arcade-y to not be called fun

man i feel nostalgic just seeing this, i remember getting this along with a wii on Christmas, and me and my dad played the shit out of it. i even remember one day i woke up in the middle of the night and everyone was supposed to be asleep at home and my dad was just glued to this. Anyone that played this remembers just shaking the remote.

The aesthetic of this game shaped me as a kid. Was the thing that i played the most on that wii (and mario galaxy 1&2)

Edit: I was a Hot Wheels collector back then. But i liked the real car the most, and the ones that were OG hot wheels, but looked like they could be functional in real life. This game had everything that I wanted as an 8 y\old. Fast paced races, destruction and a very appealing (for me) aesthetic. Today I'd like to see something like this, but not in a NFS.

I like way too much the customization and stuff u can do in Frostbite.

My bro and I played this game so much. It’s the best NFS game to start with because it’s all the high speed fun a NFS game has but it’s easier to control the car. Also the physics in the game are hilarious.

Fun fact 1: Nitro on the same engine as Most Wanted, Carbon and Undercover Wii/PS2.

Fun fact 2: The DS version had an expanded rerelease for DSi called Nitro-X. It was sadly obscure and was hard to find ROMs for it.

I just remembered that visual body customization is done by pointing the Wii Remote. If you bind the IR Sensor to a thumbstick on Dolphin, you could point to a part on your car and press A to swap out that part to something new.

I still have this game on Wii, it was honestly so fun. I had every car and customised each one with a unique design. Lots a good times and memories but looking back it doesn’t shine like it used to.

ive actually finished this game 100% it has some cool modifications. nice cars funny momentos and winning a race against a tesla roadster with a 4L was the funniest thing ive ever done
