Scallops are a blank canvas for whatever seasoning you’d like to add. In this video, you'll learn how to BBQ salt block seared scallops on the grill with Lemon Butter Sauce. Impress your friends with this great recipe brought to you by Napoleon. See Full Instructions:
Tools You Will Need:
Ingredients
16 large dry sea scallops
Kosher salt
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces
¼ cup lemons juice
2 Lemons - Segmented
½ bunch chives - minced
Recipe
1. Preheat Grill Block. This must be done in stages. Low setting for 15 minutes, medium for 15 minutes, finally high for 15 minutes. Each stage with the lid closed.
2. Pat Dry Scallops.
3. Season scallops with salt.
4. Sear scallops for 3-4 minutes.
5. Flip scallops and cook for 2-3 minutes.
6. Using Napoleon Gloves, Remove the entire salt block from Grill, and replace it with a small cast iron pan.
7. Once the pan is hot, add Butter, lemon Segments, lemon juice and Chives. Allow cooking for 1-2 minutes.
8. Drizzle sauce over the scallops and serve.
