Thank goodness for this video sir! The iguanas in lake worth have moved from eating the tomatoes off my vine, to just eating the whole plant out of the ground. I feel like Elmer Fudd and these iguanas are my bugs bunny. I just want fresh veggies!

I use bird netting but leave it on the ground coiled around the bed sort of like WWI bard wire
It catches the iguanas feet, it’s not lethal as they will escape but they really don’t like it and stay away

I just want to suggest tulle in place of bird netting. I've had to cut snakes and baby possums out of bird netting. The tulle works just as well and doesn't cause civilian casualties! It's only good for one season though.

Dealing with this with our bougainvillea for years. I've chased away so many with a stick in my hand. They keep coming back though. Pisses me off because there are several bougainvilleas near our house that they don't go near or touch. They just want OUR bougainvillea 😡🤬

I live in east Pompano Beach and on my street our neighborhood iguanas travel along the power lines and jump onto the tree branches of the trees in our yards. They sunbathe and release their waste over pathways potted plants patio sets and eat treat my garden like their personal salad bar…🤬!

To be honest it's not the cats, but the cat pee i think that they don't like . I very rarely see iguana's in my yard any more , but my neighbors yard is infested . just by protecting my vegetables from the cats and letting them out to pee in the flower beds . And no it's not hurting the flowers at all or stinking up the yard because cats bury it .

Cats may scare away iguanas but they can also decimate native bird populations. Not super responsible to let them roam
