Love this story. It reminds me of a story my 97-year old Uncle told as kids from his time as a ground infantry soldier in Korea. They marched all over the countryside there, and he would tell us about a big Gorilla that was 10 feet tall and chased them around. He said its name was Tonsoo-Poo. We laughed and thought it was hilarious, and then of course he would jump at us and we would all scream and run away... But he told these stories of Tonsoo-Poo and how afraid of him they were, and gave detailed accounts about him. My uncle was NOT a "creative writer" type guy, or a drinker. He was all business, the ultimate 50's dad. So it makes me wonder now... was he really telling us about encounters they had with a BigFoot in Korea, but putting a humorous spin on it because he thought no one would believe him?

Chris, my mother and a friend of hers went on a trip to Alaska, a year or two ago.
Part of the trip was a train ride from one place to another. Looking out the window,
she saw something covered with hair, walking upright, in a forested area. Where she
saw it was a remote place, a long distance from any other humans, houses, etc. It was
too tall to be a man, and at that time of year, people in Alaska were not dressed in heavy coats and the like. Since you told this story today, and since my mother is no longer here to
tell what she saw, I am passing this story on to you. Best wishes. Your program is a good
one.

I am no specops guy but I found it strange those guys went for survival Training into Alaska without any ammo. I mean, there could be real predators out there, not just cryptids.

I love the sound of the water lapping in the background. What a beautiful spot for a video.

I was a SERE instructor in the Air Firce from 75-79. I taught at the Fairchild Air Force Base school in northeastern Washington. The training area was further north, just north of Cusick, Washington in the Colville national Forest. On one of the training missions I had an element of students mix of officers and enlisted, all air crew members, training in global survival. We were in the phase of learning land navigation, and we were traveling from point to point, bushwhacking. We were a little bit behind on time, and we stopped and noticed huge footprints in the soft duff. They were approximately 18 inches long and about 6 inches wide, my students saw them and ask what in the hell are those and I said Bigfoot. They picked up the pace and we made it to our point on time. Unfortunately, I did not have a camera with me to take pictures of this. On another occasion, I had an element of students in training and my camp was about a quarter mile away from where the element was camped, We were in a static situation. It was about 9 PM and I was alone and calling it a day. I was laying down when something ran across the clearing and the interval of the footsteps and the vibrations told me that whatever ran across was quite large and the way it ran across gave me the impression. It was on two legs.

Grew up in alaska, mostly Kodiak Island Alaska, my dad was a great white hunter per say, elk, moose, carribu, deer etc, and his buddy from washington state went on a hunt with him, things went silent and a bad smell, and they felt observed. My dad was not a drinker, or bullshooter but he swears they were being tracked. They went back to camp, packed up and jumped in his plane and left. They had fire power but didnt feel good about situation, that was 60 yrs ago.

I had a Bigfoot encounter when I was a kid. Our family was visiting family friends in Willits California, located in Northern California, Mendocino County. We were visiting for the 4th of July. The family we were visiting lived in the mountains and the homes built there were spread out pretty far. The weather was nice so myself, my brother, sister and the two sons of the family we were visiting wanted to sleep outside. The family we were visiting had a large 6 person tent they pitched for us. As we were asleep in the tent I was awoken to the sound of twigs snapping as something approached the tent. I knew whatever it was, was sizeable. As the twigs were snapping with a loud crack. Rather than faintly if it were a raccoon or possum for example. Whatever it was came almost all the way up to the tent stopping only a few feet away. I was alarmed and frightened knowing something was out there, possibly a black bear? However when it started breathing heavy/sniffing and making a strange grunting/combined growling sound, I knew it wasn’t a bear. Not only that the sound wasn’t at or near ground level where we were sleeping. The sound was coming from much higher, something towering over us. It paused at the tent for only 4-5 seconds and then took off like a bat out of hell running down hill through the forest.

You could hear massive shuffling of leaves and twigs snapping under it’s feet as it ran away. Including trees rustling and smaller limbs snapping and being cracked off as it ran away. I presume it was grabbing/slinging itself off the trees to help it control its rapid descent down the mountain. The sound and speed of it crashing through the forest was incredible, like a truck was driving through it. The sound of it running lasted for about 6-7 seconds and then the sound of it running stopped. There was a pause of silence for about two seconds. Then it started this blood curdling howling I had never heard any animal make that just carried through the forest. By my estimation of the distance of the howling to our tent. It had travelled approximately 75-80 yards in 6-7 seconds running down hill. It continued to howl for about 4-5 seconds and then I heard the sound of a very large tree branch being broken off. I knew it was a large limb as the sound it let off. A massive cracking and snap as it was broken off, rustling against surrounding tress as it fell to the ground with a heavy thud. Then it continued to run away until you couldn’t hear the sound of leaves, twigs and branches rustling anymore. It’s stark quite in the woods and sound travels well.

At the point that it started to run away from the tent I started hitting and shaking everyone in their sleeping bags waking them up. They all heard the thrashing of it running through the forest and it howling as well. We were all scared as heck and quickly abandoned the tent, making a mad dash to the house and woke our parents. My sister was so scared she was crying. They said it was probably a bear. They didn’t experience it and from the height of the sound over the tent, to the sounds it made, it’s massive speed, power, howling and breaking of tree branches… It wasn’t a bear! Still gives me goosebumps thinking about it as I type this out to this day...

Camped around that USAF survival training area many times. Its called Tacoma Creek. Lots of strange stuff goes on. Never seen one, but many times heard "howls", whistles, and other unexplainable sounds. Odd tree breaks/structures on occasion. Of course the biggest share of these are the AF students practicing building shelters. Really neat area. Theres no shooting in the survival area, so that might be good for bigfoot activity. God bless!

My daughter was working at the Crescent Lodge in the Olympic State Park, Washington when she had the chance to get a signal and call me as the sun was setting. The resort was closed for the season and employees had been leaving. She was alone.

We were talking when she said, what is thaaa..." and began hyperventilating. The most terrifying moment as a mother came up on me but she was okay. She was able to run into the lodge and broke down in tears. That was a very REAL experience and she denied it for years. But she's since talked more about it.

Hi Chris, the waves lapping at the shore is very calming. I too find it interesting that the government put Sasquatch on the map

I find it fascinating that these things can be so stealth and quiet when they chose to be and at other times make a ruckus so as to intimidate people.

Chris I absolutely live your channel! I look forward to watching it every Sunday. Every story you relay from your readers is absolutely on the high end of exillerating, intense and entertaining and totally believable! I can see the stories unfold like a video in my mind as you're telling them. And the places you go to to tell the stories are places of beauty! Tgat is one beautiful lake that you're at for today's story. Looks like a lake to take a boat out on, shut off the engine and just drift and enjoy God's beauty! Thanks again for your channel, keep the stories coming! God bless you!

I can backup the Fairchild AFB part. I was there in 1980 training as a survival instructor. I washed out after our Winter outing. We never got that map but when the base commander gave his welcome speech he told us how one of his instructors had a bigfoot encounter.
And in effect letting us know that he was open to any encounters we might have.

Great story but it's got a lot of holes. No modern "recon" force leaves the wire without NODs (night vision). In fact, the U.S. Army "owns" the night. The preference, especially during ingress and egress from a target is by night. Nobody sets up a "camp" on a recon mission and has time to "read, " you're not making coffee or cooking anything (even with an MRE heater). If you are doing recon, you are by definition in enemy territory. US Army doctrine is at least 1/3 of personnel are pulling security at any one time when in a patrol base. The hierarchy of work in a patrol base is: 1. Security 2. Weapons cleaning and maintenance 3. Personal Hygiene 4. food 5. Sleep. (The training is so good I can remember that after nearly 25 years). You just don't go "off" mission to pursue something in the woods without getting authorization from your next higher. A recon patrol has a mission to complete they just don't bounce around the woods looking for cool stuff. Either you missed a lot of the details in Miles' story (details are important) or you need to verify Miles' military CV. There are a lot of "SF, Force Recon, Sniper, door gunners on the space shuttle" running around out there.
