I have been watching Erwan's vlog even before it became FEATR. When the name changed, I thought "Bakit pa? Ang hirap tuloy sabihin nung name nung channel." But now, I realize it was a great move because Erwan had this vision. He wanted to showcase Philippines and other creators in this channel. It had been a long journey and I can say I love his videos more and more. Nakakatuwa din na he is the one immersing himself in the karenderyas, eating with the spoon they use, kahit yung sa loob ng mga bahay, walang arte. He even speaks Filipino better now. Galing! Salamat sa paggawa ng ganitong mga content. 🙌

FEATR could be Philippines' ambassador for gastronomic tourism. This channel has so much potential and I wish to see you in bigger platforms

This is how you elevated filipino cuisine. Traditional, where it all started. Nothing wrong with mall-type settings. I consider your shows worthy of journalistic awards. Definitely more superior than blogging. As a natural born Filipino, leaving abroad, your shows make me miss home. There is pride in the "simple complexity" of Filinino food. Thank you for capturing the emotional relationship we have to Filipino cuisine.

Growing up in Malabon, I always struggled to explain where I lived—it was hard to access and often flooded. But deep down, I knew we had the best food on every corner. Now, seeing my little town finally getting the recognition it deserves makes me so happy. 💞

Watching this as a born & raised Malabonian, who is now living in the US and has been gone for over a decade, was such a treat 🥹 thank you for featuring my hometown and showing it in such a positive light. I can’t believe most of the streets no longer look familiar to me but all the food, nonetheless, are still clear in my head. It’s as if I can still smell and taste exactly how they are! My personal favorites are the pianono, mechado, Pancit Malabon, and crispy pata. The okoy was very nostalgic as well because you would smell it outside the Concepcion church every after Sunday mass ❤ thank you for this vlog and more power to your team!

It's so clear from the tone of these videos that your stories come from a place of love, respect and thoughtfulness for the people to whom we owe the richness of Philippine cuisine

Malabon native here, now living overseas. 🙂 thanks Erwan & FEATR for featuring our lovely little city! When I went abroad and talk about my hometown, the 1st thing I usually say is the food there is great. 😆 One of the things I always, always eat when I go home is pichi pichi from Arny-Dading's. Simply the best pichi pichi you'll ever eat. 😁 Also a fun fact, there in Malabon, what other people call Turon (fried banana spring roll?😅), we call Valencia. 😆 Turon, for us (what I know, anyway), is filled with minatamis na munggo and is amazing with condensed milk. 🙂

Nakapa lupet talaga ng malabon, daming old world kainan na talagang ng stistick sa traditions nila! Sobrang saya ko umikot ikot ng malabon, blindly tapos tamang hanap ng makakainan hahaha

This is probably the most researched vlog about Malabon food. From Broas to the difference between Rosy's pancit and Nanay's pancit... to Valeriano's. I grew up in Malabon but I don't live there anymore. This vlog reminded me about my happy childhood.
Maybe a part 2 because there's still lugaw, sumpia, pitsi-pitsi or peachy peachy.
Great research as usual. ❤

And it is very TRUE that most Malabonian including myself learned how to make Pansit Malabon which I served to my Filipino friends in Canada. And I always remind them it's an insult to us whenever they call it Palabok. The humble beginning of the lady who started her food business "Malabon Food Cravings" reminded me of the short time I worked in the Philippines before I left for Canada. During special occasions I will bring large Bilao of Pansit Malabon and Dolor's Kakanin to the office, they loved it so much that they started chipping in so I can bring them the Bilao Treat every pay day, thus giving me a nickname "Mr. Bilao". Mabuhay ang Malabon....

Kinda wild to see Erwan and the FEATR team walking around the same streets and eating the same dishes I grew up with. Thank you for giving Malabon's food scene and my hometown the love and attention it deserves ❤

I’m from Malabon and it’s so good to see Erwan going back to my city. Malabon is beyond Pancit alone, we do have a lot to offer and thanks Erwan and featr for sharing this❤

Lucky for me I'm visiting my birthplace after living in Canada for almost 50 years. Some of the places Erwan featured on his vlog exist even before I left. So I am going to do my own Food Trip in Malabon. For the first time we had lunch at Judy Ann's and loved their Hototay soup, Pianono of Concepcion Bakery, Dolor's kakanin made famous by the families of my childhood barkadas Rey Morales, Edna David, Emerita Santos. Before I fly back to Canada I will try the Okoy, Halo Halo, Pansit Malabon. I will also check out the Malabon Food Cravings for my pasalubong back home in Canada. Even though I spent more than half of my life in another country Malabon will always be my HOME. We still have our ancestral home here. PROUD TO BE MALABONIAN.

When I was a child my parents would take us to Malabon to visit relatives during Christmas week- going from one Lola's house to the next. If there is one food I miss living in the US it is pancit malabon with the tinapa and oysters, as toppings. There is nothing quite like it! This brings back those childhood memories... and is the one place to revisit after close to two decades of not going home to Manila. Thank you for doing quite an in-depth exploration and truly heartfelt look into the food culture and people of Malabon! I would much take a food tour here than go to the ritziest restaurant in Manila.

I love pancit malabon here in manila, but when I watched this video, I realized and wanted to visit malabon for so much food to taste. I also love cooking ❤ watching you trying things like a normal Filipino gives me inspiration on being a local, well-known chef that maybe in the future you can try my dishes ❤
