Today we're checking out some English Gameplay of an upcoming City Ruler game called Urban Empire. Urban Empire is a very deep game that combines city management with diplomacy, political events, city building, research, and political scheming as you attempt to develop your city over a 200 year period, starting in the 1800s. There's multiple families to choose from, each with multiple individuals that have different traits which will effect the way your city develops. There's also a ton of research and inventions, everything to thermodynamics for a steam engine in the beginning, to the internet in the later eras. The game is looking at release on January 20th, 2017. We start off our town as the Irish Kilgannon family and get through a bit of the tutorial, learning many of the deep building and political bits of the game.

Create and manage city districts on a large scale and fulfil your citizens’ needs – such as happiness, safety, and public services.
Introduce new ideas and technologies, like the electric tram, antibiotics or video games and use your power to convince the city council of your political agenda.
Up to 1000 dynamic events represent the twists and turns of urban life: make and influence decisions on issues such as women’s rights, the hippie movement, and child labor.
