Top Thrill Dragster Official POV - Cedar Point, Sandusky Ohio!

Cedar Point DELETED their POV of the coaster - So now, you can still take a ride on Top Thrill Dragster and experience one of the best roller coasters to ever operate at Cedar Point. Now that we know the coaster will be retired, the park deleted their POV off of their channel. But luckily, I had it saved so I wanted to keep the legacy of Dragster alive!

This is strange, Cedar Point still has a wicked twister pov, which means they took down the Dragster pov because of something different. I think they took down this pov because there will be significant changes to the ride, so the pov would be outdated.

Few people understand just what we are missing out on by them changing the launch. To put it in the perspective of 0-60, your average modern car clears 0-60 in about 7-8 seconds. The quickest production car, the Challenger SRT demon 170, clears it in 1.6 seconds. Dragster cleared it in 1.3 seconds. This thing came out in 2003 and was still quicker than the quickest production car 20 years in the future.

The first time I rode this, I was beyond terrified. The fright eased up because my guy friend was struggling to breathe, as they had pushed the bar REALLY HARD down on his lap…😂😂😂
Anyway, a guy in front of us had decided the Ziploc bag with his wallet and keys would “be totally safe” since it was shoved deep into his pocket, and the bar was pushed down hard.
I kept hearing his buddy tell him, “You should really just put it on the side over there, man…” But, he didn’t.
So…we got cleared to go….and we went! 😳😳
Y’all, I kid you not - when we came down from the hill, the dude’s Ziploc bag floated away. 😂🤣😂🤣💀💀

i live in PA..we go there every single year...rode this amazing ride over 40 times...crying now its gone..."arms down..arms down...then the brakes go down..you coast back like 2 feet...then you know your going 124mph in like 4 seconds.

an LSM launch wouldn’t accelerate as quickly, but it would be sustained for the entire launch track instead of the train just coasting for half of it, like on red force. that’s why i think there is enough room for an LSM launch. it would absolutely feel different, but not necessarily worse imo

My Son and I once waited an extra 45 minutes to ride in the Front of the Front, and it was worth it. Lost an orange doo rag, we still joke about today. Saddening to see it go.

I interpret this to mean the hydraulic launch will be replaced with LSM's.

I just went to cedar point yesterday and even though the dragster isn’t open my dad is always telling us it is so thrilling and fun but it looks sooo scary, honestly I think it should come back cuz I want to experience it too

I remember standing in line telling my cousin if something came loose it would basically be shrapnel hurled at the crowd. Sad that it happened. Loved the Dragster

July of 2005: I can remember waiting anxiously at the Christmas tree lights to launch, me and my brother smirking. The message on the speaker had just told us to hold on. Screw it. At launch, we threw our hands into the air and cheered amidst the immense speed. Mom laughed at how messed up my hair was after the ride. 17 years later, Top Thrill Dragster is being retired and I'm actually quite sad to hear it go. Kingda ka never could hold a candle to this magnificent ride. One of the best roller coasters that ever existed. I'll miss it 🖤❤️🧡 🤍

I had a wardrobe malfunction on this coaster once 🤣🤣🤣🤣 As much as I miss this ride I can’t wait to see the updated version!

I have to get to Six Flags Great Adventure now. I am not saying this will happen to Kingda Ka next but it's better to be safe than sorry.
