I STRONGLY dislike the Coach Tabby Backpack -- See why!

In this video, I go over my current woes with Coach. I found a couple of things that I do not like about the bags I have purchased and will be taking an extended break from purchasing bags from the brand. Let me know if you agree with any of it!

I ordered that bag in honey. I wanted to love it because it’s so gorgeous! The straps make it so awkward to carry though. I wish Coach would redesign it.

I totally feel you on being mad about that ridiculous repair cost from Coach, very embarrassing on their part. I do have a suggestion about how to open this clasp a bit more reliably, I found that these quilted tabby clasps need to be pulled straight out since they have a ball at the end; meaning you may have to pull the tab below the buckle slightly down before pulling out, since its natural resting position is already being pulled up due to where the flap connects to the bag and the handles. Otherwise, the ball on the end of the little pole going into the clasp is being pulled upward at the same time you're trying to pull it out, which means it misses the wide enough opening of the circle. It's certainly finicky about having to pull straight out for a clasp like this, but I do find it far easier than opening those Coach Idol bags with the huge magnetic C since they make it easy to scratch the leather of the bag just to get a hold of the clasp.

Hello. You need to buy some E6000 and it will work. Make sure once apply put something on it to clamp or hold down for awhile until dry. Can buy at any Joann's, Michaels, Hobby Lobby or other stores

Omg same, i have a love hate relationship with coach, right now its love older bags and not current bags, boutique vs outlet colors and styles, my favorite bags they keep discontinuing, my favorite style is actually the outlet style rowan satchel.

I have the backpack in black and mine has never stuck when trying to open. Some of the coach quilted tabby bags are faulty. The only problem I have is with the chain like you mentioned. To fix my issue with the chain I ordered these little clips for chains off of Amazon to keep it exactly how I want it when I wear it as a backpack so the chain doesn’t move around. After doing that I LOVE my backpack. My only complaint is it is smaller than it looks inside and I can’t fit a full size wallet.

Great video Jorgelina! So sorry the bag isn’t working for you. It is a great bag to look at but I can definitely see those thin straps being an issue. The most beautiful color for sure ❤❤

Valid points! My clasp doesn't stick and I have my straps clipped as I like the handheld option, but 100% the straps hurt like hell if you wear it as a backpack for more than 5 minutes. The quality has def taken a hit with them trying to keep up with demand, in my opinion. I sent a couple bags back that arrived damaged and/or used from boutiques.

Awe man I hate that happened to your soft Tabby! I hate the backpack isn’t working out for you! They needed to put a leather shoulder strip! It’s why I sold my Coach Madison bags! Thanks for the update!

Hmm thanks for video! It just confirms what I think - this type of chain straps are for small bags, nothing even a bit bigger as that will be too heavy!

hi, just move the pull down a touch to open and then I find it is fine when full. Though i find it holds a decent amount anyway. Same with the quilted tabby, both are lovely. if strap gets in the way - just tuck inside the bag first. hope this helps.

Aww so sad! it's so pretty! 🩷 I think with the e6000 it might fall off too.
Idk what the pink part is made off but if it's metal too the epoxy is going to work.
It's a 2 part glue you mix together (measurements depending on the instructions) and it should hold. 🤞

I loved it except for the straps. I messed with them a bit before I took the tags off and decided I needed to get rid of it. They weren’t comfy like I hoped and I was sad because I LOVE the color and leather but for retail at over 500 after tax I just couldn’t keep it.

Aww 🥰 Jorgelina what a bummer I’m sorry it didn’t work out. It is a beautiful backpack the chain with the weight of the things you put in a backpack is why I didn’t get it. If it had a top handle it would be different. That’s a big reason why I didn’t buy it. Good luck on the fix. Fingers crossed. I also heard another content creator say to try a different store if you have another one close and maybe they would be more workable. 🤷🏻‍♀️ TFS 👛🛍️🙏🚢🦆

Oh no! I have a Soft Tabby as well, I hope that doesn't happen with mine. :/ That does not seem like normal wear and tear. The Dragonfruit color is lovely though. :)
