I don't understand why people are criticizing the designer for the prices for these lehangas. Every brand has it's target audience, and for Sabyasachi; it is clearly the upper class.
It's simple- higher the price, greater the exclusivity. Asking him to tone down the prices considering the average per captia income of an Indian household is understandable, but equivalent to asking Chanel to introduce an affordable collection. It's not the lehanga that sells, it's the legacy and status symbol of the brand which does.

Also, PS! Sabyasachi recently released a (non bridal) collection with H&M!

It's highly overrated. Utne kuch khaas bhi nahi hai. Meri engagement ka lachha sirf 5000 ka tha in peach and gold aur makeup 5000 ka.. jwellery mummy ki. Bass within 15000 I was feeling extremely beautiful from inside like never before. Hamare photographer ne itani sundar photos nikali, ek photo ko 3x4 feet ka poster banakar apne studio me bhi laga diya. 😆
Girls 5000 me bhi world's best lehenga milta hai bass dhundna padta hai.

the work that goes into the making of these lehngas, the craftsmanship is impeccable. why do you think a brand reach this far or gets so big? it's the quality, people who appreciate the art and effort put into its creation know its worth. plus there's also the point that they are the original designers, they set the trend, and fast fashion then follows it. there's a lot that goes on behind one lehnga you see here, besides, they are too many people involved in its making, unki bhi toh salary hai
