I unbox and review the new GreenWorks Cordless Hedge Trimmer to use it to trim an overgrown hedge in the yard. So far so good, and it has a nice feel in the hand, packs power and the better lasted.

As - on average - I cut through the power cable once per three uses of my trimmer, one like this would save me a lot of cable splicing. Also, as I found with the Bosch cordless lawn mower that I got last year, the ease of use created by having no power cord to maneuver and trip over gives a great sense of freedom when working. Its a pity my existing trimmer shows no sign of dying - but I may eventually run out of cord. LOL

I like the long bar on that one. That would come in very handy.

I've got the Greenworks 40-volt version. First use I didn't think to wear gloves, worked for a couple hours with it before realizing my hands were stained black. Did not wash off with soap and water as easily as one would hope. Just wear gloves.

Wishing. Don't know if there will be a standard but it would be nice if all rechargables used the same battery and battery chargers. Heavyly invested in DeWalt.

Also, great job backing that tractor-trailer-combo up took me many a try to get that done.

Nice! I hate going around with a corded trimmer, but have been leery of trying out a battery powered one.

hi, I am currently posted in SE Asian where the voltage is 220V. Is the trimmer 120-220V or multi-voltage? I am thinking of buying the Greenworks cordless trimmer.

how is the slicing? is it smooth, or look like the shredding and ripping apart like the county does with there dull cutters on the road sides

That surprised me how well that cut being a battery powered one. I have a gas powered trimmer that cuts great when it's working :>).

How do you like the safety trigger? Looks kinda awkward to get to if it was that green thing you pulled inside the handel at the beginning.
