DRAG RACE: LaFerrari vs Bugatti Veyron - Vmax Stealth

Hypercar heavyweights go head to head at Vmax 200 Stealth, the Ferrari LaFerrari and Bugatti Veyron! The Italian boasts 950hp, the Bug still has 1001hp but substantially more weight to it; with the slightly damp conditions the AWD helps substantially though.

At the speed traps set almost 2 miles down the runway, the LaFerrari reached 206mph, with the Veyron clocking in 214mph!

On a later run the Veyron also managed to make it to a top speed of 224mph when it had dried up more.

Congratulations to Bugatti. Definitely in a league of its own as king of the straight line.
You should always remember something Enzo Ferrari said many years ago when asked about why the Ferrari of the day wasn't as fast as the Porsche in that same year.
His answer was typical of what owning a Ferrari means, and what building Ferrari meant to him. "if Ferrari wanted to build the fastest car in the world, they could do it with every new model they release" "having the fastest car should never be compared with having the best complete car" "if you can't understand this, you'll never understand what a true racing sports car is"
It wasn't the Porsche Ferrari was being compared to, it was the Honda NSX.
Regardless of any comparison made, its hard to argue, Ferrari with its heritage, knowledge, resources, success and reputation in motor racing, couldn't build the fastest car if they really wanted to.
At the end of the day, we only have personal opinions on why we love one car over another. And that's what makes being a lover of beautiful cars mean.
As long as we are mere spectators and not an owner of these beautiful pieces of art, we can not understand why a buyer wants one brand over another.
The luxury of choice with the wealth needed, allows these people to buy one of each if they choose.
