i use a q-tip to clean around my nails after painting! dip it in your choice of nail polish remover and it’s an easy clean! 🥰

You should by orange wood sticks to clean around the cuticle, i do it while its still wet and sometimes dip it in acetone lightly😊🖤✨

I use an E.L.F. concealer brush (because it's small and stiff) and dip in acetone to clean-up around the cuticles... IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE🥰🤩💅

As someone who only used to be a regular polish kinda gal, gel polish is really a game changer. Gel polish cleanup is so much easier, just as long as you clean it up before it gets cured. All you have to do is take a cuticle pusher and run it along the stray polish.

I learned myself from home. No pro but I know the basics. My only advice would be take the most care on prep but be so careful with files on your bare nails. I’ve had made my nails sore from over filing and even from salons too.
Other then that just have fun. It’s so good being able do it yourself I think it’s calming just taking time out of your day to pamper yourself x

You can use a brush to clean up the edges.👌

I found that I was MUCH better at doing acrylic dip nails instead of traditional acrylic, if you’re finding that doing a full set is a pain in the ass. Lol. I also try to keep the pointy qtips on hand, that definitely helps with cleaning up the cuticles. You could also try simply peel- Cristine from simply nailogical loves it! I also recommend nail oil after you’ve finished you manicure! ❤️ loved this video, and can’t wait for more!

I think you did great for your first time. Cjp nail systems is brilliant too they have a brush for £ 16 and it's real kolinsky hair, makes doing nails so much easier and more enjoyable.

I've seen people use a small thin brush, dipped in acetone or nailpolish remover and then carefully going around the edges to clean up ♡
Hope it helps xx

to remember the names think of p polomer is powder and for cleaning ts best to wipe it up while wet still but i use a nail file and just gently rub it on the cuticles to lift the polish up since i use gel and it runs if you use a bit more than needed on accident and doesnt dry until its cured or i put my hand in warm water and just peel it with my nails but you left the brush too wet when applyig the acrylic so thats why it was all gummy i know im late but i hope it still helped

Hello! I’m a licensed nail tech in the state of Texas a few tips I thought of while watching this video is you should get cuticle remover and soak your cuticles for at least 30 seconds in warm water, the cuticle remover and soaking softens the cuticle to help push them back easier and more efficiently. Since you chose short nails your nail is basically as coffin as you’re gonna get, coffin and almond shaped nails are more prominent in longer nails whereas rounded, squared and squared with rounded edges look pretty much universal on every length of nail. The key to acrylic nails is finding your brush. You should go to your local nail supply store it should look more like nail warehouse inside but it won’t be as big as a warehouse I just mean that it won’t be as neat as your local Sally’s if that makes any sense and isn’t uncommon for there to be a language barrier at these stores, there are different sizes and shapes to acrylic nail brushes so you just gotta find what works best for you but I can pretty much guarantee amazon won’t have it. Also instead of using a Q-tip to clean up polish you’ve gotten on your cuticle you should buy a cleanup brush or French tip brush to clean around the cuticle, it’s more precise than a fuzzy Q-tip and lastly always use a base coat, whether your working with gel polish or regular polish always use a corresponding base coat so your nail polish has a foundation to sit on and a top coat to seal everything in! Anyway, I love your videos and of course as a nail tech I’d love to see more nail videos
