"Mist of Capricorn" from Agam's sophomore album "A Dream To Remember"

Based on "Manavyalakincharadate" composed by Saint Thyagaraja ( 1767 – 1847 ) in the raaga Nalinakaanti set to Deshadi Taala.

"This song wouldn't have been possible without the stellar effort from the following people - Padmashree Smt. Aruna Sairam with whom we performed the song for the first ever time in 2015. Shaju Vaadiyil who worked tirelessly for months together to create the ethereal strings section. Prashant Gnanamuthu for pulling off the near unthinkable putting together a 50 piece choir, rehearsing it and performing it to perfection. Sajith Pappan for the groovy tavil sections. As always, Hriday Goswami for the definitive, lush, bright and large sound that this song deserves. A special word of gratitude to all the musicians that worked with us on this track. Last but not the least, Munz, Clint, Amal, Sangeeth, Akhil, Jayesh, Wazim, Anglin, Soozy, Tillana and the whole video production team for capturing the emotions on this song delightfully well. " - Agam.

This rendition is like a loving mother's lap, a father's hug, your favourite blanket on a winter day, a cup of coffee on a rainy day, an eye contact with your crush...

It is like... It is like... listening to Agam on headphones! :-)

Is it possible to understand this music on an emotional level, not on a verbal level? I can feel it.

The thavil (South Indian drum) coming in and blending with Harish's voice at 2:43 is so divine!

Tyagaraja would be so proud if he was alive. getting to know that singer worked at Google and is working at CRED where I recently joined as an intern. When i got to know he also works there I was so so shocked, I literally wanted to scream that I have given minimum 10k views for this song. 💜💜💜💜 Engineers can do anything

This is your best work without doubt. Somewhere up there Saint Thyagaraja would have invited Mozart and Beethoven to hear this and they all must be having a great time. It's Time to recognise Agam as one of India's greatest bands ever. Thanks to A. R. Rahman for truly appreciating and spreading good music. He must be soo proud of you guys. Keep it up Harish n team.

I'm a Marathi, I'm falling in love with Carnatic music and Telugu, thanks to Saint Thyagaraja's composition. I hope your band inspires many more indigenous bands in India who combine and remix Saintly compositions of Sant Tukaram, Sant Dnyaneshwara, Sant Kabir, Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Sri Ramachandra must be so happy to see your rendition! Many wishes for your growth!

Agam was the first band whose music I paid money to buy after being blown away at NIT Calicut where they performed live. This song reminds me why I skipped a dinner to pay for the download. The magic lives.
