Forte3D™ is using new technology in combination with the timeless art of acoustic instruments to create the next step in classical music.

Purchase your Forte3D™ cello from Fiddlershop:

The international patent-pending design uses novel physics to allow the tops of the cellos to act more like the cone of a speaker. Instead of using a rigid arched shape akin to traditional cellos, the tops use tensile strength to support the bridge, more like the surface of a trampoline. The unique hybrid design incorporates two flat CNC-cut pieces of carbon fiber serving as the top and back of the instrument. This entirely new design allows the vibrations and sound to travel more freely through the instrument to emit a robust, yet polished sound.

Constructing an instrument out of carbon fiber using traditional methods is tremendously expensive and labor intensive and tends to sound overly harsh and brittle. Forte3D™’s original design creates a profoundly resonant, dynamic sound box, eliminating these characteristics.

As the ribs of the instruments are 3D-printed, they have a softer surface, which absorbs these unpleasant frequencies to produce a sweeter and more beautiful natural sound while also possessing the ability to roar over an orchestra when coaxed.

Can't imagine a Cello sounding better than that. So beautiful.

Can you make a comparison video with a mezzo forte design line & Evo line cello?

Got mine over 1 month ago as "spare" of my "wooden spare cello." I just took a close look and found the base bar (carbon fiber, of course). The concave design (Spruce top in wooden cello design) made a lot of sense, since carbon fiber is way stronger than wood. I found it responsive and balanced across the strings (which was fit with D'Addario's Helicore set). The bridge with Forte3D mark on it - and was well made. The clear sound from the cello makes me more aware of my intonation. The projection are quick and deep - less tiring when playing Bach Cello Suites. This is my first time using Winner fine-tuner pegs and I love it! Fiddlershop was EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable when I called for the inquiry.
Only few things I wish Forte3D can improve upon. The lack of scroll -- it is not aethetic but functional. I would like to have some extension "scroll" part for extra security when placed in the hard case. It can only be fastened at neck area which I am not a big fan. The wood sound post seems a bit long that did leave a visible "protruded" mark at the back. I plan to take my cello to have my luthier for consultation - maybe shorten/adjust the sound post after few more months of playing. I might choose Obligato set to add extra complexity and tune down the metal strings' brightness. I have grown to like and enjoy this cello more and more. For the price - it is way worth it!

I just preordered this Cello! I’m super excited! I have the Fiddlerman Artist and i love it. I was debating on this vs the Fiddlerman Artist Cello. Jaleel at Fiddlershop was super helpful in my questions and I went with this one!

Looking forward to get one when back in stock.
Also what is the bow your using?
Can you recommend a few different carbon bows (different price ranges) that go good with this cello.

Does the concave top eliminate the need for a bass bar? If it has one, is it made of wood or is it a composite material?

Wonder how it would sound with larson and spiracore strings? Nice instrument. I may purchase one!

Seriously? Carbon fiber when the rest of it is a cut out?? Hhhmmmm i find this very hard to believe…. I have an L&C carbon fiber cello and i seriously doubt the cello depicted here and the website is going to last.

Folks this is an infringement of Luis and Clark CF Get the real authentic one. In other words a knock off of the original cf cello.
