Today we´ve measured a Can-Bus, namely a Can-Bus of a Golf IV built in 2004. What can we see on this error pattern? The signal voltages are different. We can see two different control units. We can see a Delta of 640 millivolts. The reason for this voltage drop could be spotted somewhere on the plug or the electrical lines. However, we can’t find out which control unit does the problem here. This control unit has a voltage drop. Maybe spotted in the plug. This voltage drop is the reason for the Delta of 640 millivolts. The Customer doesn´t recognize this actually, because the Can-Comfort is able to work on one-wire. The Can-Low is absolutely fine. The voltage level is correct.
