Uchiage Hanabi - Fireworks (2017) [Piano]

Hey everyone! Sadly, this will probably be the last piano cover I will be able to record at home until december or even next summer since I am leaving to study piano in 2 days(today is coincidentally also my birthday).

The good news is that I will probably be able to record on a grand piano there instead, although it may take a few weeks until I have the time to do so.

Onto the arrangement itself,「Uchiage Hanabi」is probably my favorite song at the moment(tied with Daisy), and I have used many new techniques that I have picked up over the last 8 months of arranging to create this. My inspiration was to create the best version that I could on the piano, and as close to the original song as possible. The song and the music video also gives off a really summer like vibe, which I also tried to capture in this arrangement along with the warm background. My goal was to have the viewer be entranced in a warm, romantic scene while listening. If you can imagine relaxing out in the summer fields, or within a warm night watching the fireworks as the sun sets, then I have achieved my goal.

As a special guest as this is my last video I will be recording here, I have also brought along moonlamp-chan! (Also, you may have noticed that I was originally going to premiere this yesterday, but I decided on today instead)

The coolest thing about this arrangement is what the chorus sections feature. Instead of having just the bass, chords and melody, I'm actually using a three hand technique so both hands are actually playing the melody(3 and 4 voices) which creates a very grandiose sound. Besides this, my other favorite sections would be the bridge at 2:43, where I play an offbeat rhythm starting of beat 3 of every measure. I also kept the ostinato part going during the verses of the song, which is something I haven't seen in an arrangement of this song yet.

With all of that said, this is also the final song I planned on arranging for my channel. I have reached the goal of covering all of my favorite songs at this point, all 11 of them starting with sincerely.

In some sense, my channel now feels 'complete' (I literally dont know what to do next) since arranging generally takes a lot of your inspiration from the original song... but I have done all my favorites(that I know of) at this point so I don't know what I will do next.

Well, I will see everyone in an (unknown amount of time) before my return!

Man, I’m speechless… you just arranged two of my favorite songs atm, One last kiss and Uchiage Hanabi, I really can’t say which I like the most, both arrangements were out of this world.
