Thank You! This kit came with my waterbed. I had no idea what it was for.

This video makes me miss my waterbed. I would have never gotten rid of it but my doctor advised because of my arthritis. I just remember always climbing into a warm bed. Heat makes me feel better. Thanks for posting! 😊

Appreciate the video. It's been years since I last drained a waterbed. Liked the tip about the rag over the sink to remove the aerator without scratching.

For draining I find it easiest to just do a regular siphon. Shove the hose down inside the mattress, attach the hose to the faucet and run the water long enough to fill the hose with water and then disconnect the hose and run it out the window to a spot lower than the bed. The water in the hose will start the siphon automatically.

I just use the regular siphon as Jason Ingalls states. I've had waterbeds since 1985. After you drain the mattress, use a Wet/Dry Shop Vac to pull out the remainder of the water if you are pulling the mattress out of the frame or moving.

Good information and to the point. Confirmed that we set up right but hose is to long. Thank you!

Could you use a flexible hose that only inflates when the water is on? It curls back up when you turn the water off.

Fine as far as it goes ... but if your mattress contains internal layers of fabric to add firmness to the mattress ... they will hold water and draining takes forever. They also prevent suction of the last several gallons. The next result is you'll end up muscling around a 200 pound mattress.

I bought the kit via Amazon and I just cannot get the adapter to screw on either my kitchen sink or the two bathroom faucets?
