Sixpence is a gem. They have a lot of good songs. Dig deeper with their discography and you'll love them even more. My personal fave is "Breathe".

I was a kid in the 90s and i remember this song giving me "butterflies" whenever the kiss me video came on. I thought she was one of the prettiest ladies i had ever seen.

A Christian rock band covers a song about heroin & gets a huge lesbian/bisexual fanbase. The 90s were magical.

Go to any grocery store or retail store that plays music over the PA system and you will hear "KIss Me" played eventually. And no matter how many times I hear it, it makes me smile.

“Kiss Me” triggers more ‘90’s nostalgia than grunge.

Dale Baker, their drummer, is a great drum teacher and an even better dude. 🤘

Leigh Nash is a lovely woman. She paid the Philippines a visit for a few mall gigs. Her enthusiasm in her craft's there, but she left a mark on how she interacted with us fans, treating us like her long lost friends. Sounds cliché but this one was more genuine than I thought. Would love to see her, Matt and the rest of Sixpence perform here.

As for their music, I have to agree, they have a lot of hidden gems. Personal fave is Loser Like Me and Breathe.

Sixpence reminds me of Cranberries for whatever reason. I think both groups were underwhelmed and so much more than we got to actually experience. Cranberries because of Dolore's, the lead's death, and Sixpence because of all the industry's drama. What a shame. Both of these groups had so much more to offer. Enjoyed the video and trip down memory lane. Thanks.

Sixpence is one of my 2 favorite bands ever. Their entire catalogue is amazing. Great to see others love them so much too.

I was out of the mainstream music scene at the time but discovered it a decade ago, and it's one of my favorite pop tunes! An angelic voice backed by an incredible band. When the band does the silent breaks, followed by the choppy guitar and rhythm section, it's delicious ear candy

My favorite song by sixpence none the richer is called breathe your name which I guess no one remembers that song since it's not on the show but breathe your name is my favorite song by the group. It's a great song.

This Beautiful Mess is criminally overlooked IMO. One if the few holdovers for me from my days of being siloed into CCM as a 90s teen

I was blessed to hear Nash in 1995 at a small Christian venue in Illinois as she opened for Vigilantes of Love. I remember commenting what a gorgeous voice she had and that she would probably go on to become more popular. So glad Sixpence did!

Thanks for this video and the shout-out to their catalogue. Within A Room Somewhere, Love Salvation The Fear of Death, Tonight, Love, I Need Love, There She Goes, I Can't Catch You, Field of Flowers, Kiss Me of course - they have a bevy of bangers.
To be fair "Band with an ethereal female vocalist whose music is heavily influenced by The Smiths" is so in my wheelhouse it's kind of ridiculous. Between this and The Sundays vid I just saw a few days ago, I'm having the best week with your content. Thank you for all of the work you put into your channel. I really appreciate the deep dives & positivity you offer.

Great job summing up over 25 + years of the history of this band. Brilliant work!

I saw them in the early/middle 90's play at a church for about 20 people. When they found pretty big success a few years later, I was like, "Wow!"
