THALASSA PLATIA - ROLAND DYENS - (MANOS HADJIDAKIS)

Once again.... there is no published score for this beautiful guitar adaptation ! I had to write it down... from a video of mine recorded on the occasion of a recital in 2006 ...
One of the nicest "encore arrangements" written by Roland Dyens
(2006) and dedicated to the Guitarist and one of Roland's best friend Elena Papandreou .
The title means "THE WIDE SEA" and is one of the most famous songs written by Manos Hadjidakis.
Manos Hatzidakis (also spelled Hadjidakis; Greek: Μάνος Χατζιδάκις; 23 October 1925 – 15 June 1994) was a Greek composer and theorist of Greek music. He was also one of the main proponents of the "Éntekhno" form of music (along with Mikis Theodorakis). In 1960 he received an Academy Award for Best Original Song for his song Never on Sunday from the film of the same name.
