So I’ve heard that gabapentin makes people feel relaxed and sleepy, but it does the complete opposite for me I was prescribed gabapentin for panic disorders, and
whenever I take gabapentin I feel very hyper and in sane and motivated and I’ve never heard of anyone else being affected by gabapentin in that way and I’m just trying to figure out why that is and I can’t really find in any information about it

I take it for executive dysfunction (ADHD.) I take it in the morning on days I need to be extra productive. I don't take it every day/as prescribed bc I hear it causes tartive dyskenisia (sp?) Plus it stops working nearly as well (at least for executive dysfunction) if you take it every day. I stopped for a couple of months and now I take it just a handful of times a month.

Gabapentin gave me visual hallucinations. I'd wake up in the owning and turn my bedside lamp on and notice a trail where my hand had been. I told my doctor and he stopped it. It's been about 7-8 years andI still se patterns on walls sometimes. Our hallway leading downstairs is red but when I focus solely on the wall, the paint looks crakled. If Ijust goupordown the stairs and don't focus on it, it's just red. When zi wake up and look at our bedroom walls (focused on the wall) I see patterns on the wall. Needless to say, no more gabapentin for me or my dogs. Since my vet uses it for pain.
