I always like to use a purple senko on a Texas rig. My neighbor recommended it when I was a kid and I've been successful with it since.

Senko should be in there if we're talking bass lures. The beetle spin is a great lure, but it's an all-around all species catcher where if we're fishing primarily targeting bass, then we want to put a senko in that place in my opinion.
