Threw against Ryan all through High school here in Oregon. He and his entire family are all superb athletes, got dominated by Ryan in shot (by nearly double everyone else throws) just to go and get stomped by his cousin Sam in the Jav. Props to Ryan it was obvious early this man was going to push the record!

In a single half-second movement, can you imagine the euphoria he felt knowing that this was the best throw of his life? The shot must have taken 30 minutes to fly in his head. Go Crouser!

It is the first medal for a NZ male but don’t forget Valerie Adams won 2 gold medals for NZ, slight difference to what was mentioned. Great completion - all those guys will hopefully be back competing soon!
