"PLAN 9 CHANNEL 7" was David Vanian's personal choice for the first official video from "A Night of A Thousand Vampires." With its aura of sensuality and darkadelic danger, the clip captures the spirit of this tribute to actress Maila Nurmi (whose signature creation Vampira appears in duplicate on the stage). A stroll through the Hollywood Cemetery never rocked like this!

It's weirdly appropriate to see those avatars of chaos become so respectable. In a weird way, that makes them more punk than ever, simply because the Damned have always done whatever the fuck they pleased, raising both fingers to whomever didn't like it when they did.

I love this band. Dave Vanian to me will always be the sexiest lead singer of any band. I think they stayed solid throughout the decades. I loved every incarceration. ❤❤❤
