We finally escaped Europe! (Inside Ankara, Turkey)

We made it to Ankara, the capital of Turkey (Türkiye)! And we crossed from Europe into Asia, a massive milestone on this overland journey to Almaty! After traveling for almost 1,000 kilometres from Plovdiv, Bulgaria, through Turkey's largest city, Istanbul, we arrived in Ankara. We set out to explore Ankara, a city which for some reason is still relatively unvisited by most tourists. Unfortunately the long overnight journey to Turkey took its toll and Matt started to fall ill, but, determined to see as much of Ankara as possible & share it with, we pushed on through and headed towards anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Turkey's first president and revered reformer, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Welcome to Ankara! 🇹🇷

Thank you for presenting Turkey as objective . I can advise you to visit Ankara castle next time . There are old Turkish houses, the castle and also you can see the city from the top .
