“I have virgin hair”
Also, “I’ve had a perm before, with damage “ 🙄

For those who don’t understand how she can have “virgin hair” but also have gotten a perm. I currently have virgin hair, however I USED to color, highlight, gotten a perm, balayage, etc. All of my hair treatments were between 2010-2020 and since 2020 I haven’t done any coloring or treatments. My last ‘treatment’ was a balayage so once it made it to the ends I could see when the last of the treated hair was cut. Since then I’ve purposely never colored/had any treatments done because I wanted to grow it out to donate. Currently it’s now down to my low back and all natural!

Both of them are in the Cosmetology school. One is pretending to be a customer to show you how to PROPERLY have a consultation with a client before doing any kind of chemical process of their hair.

Can personally say going to a cosmetology school is better than a normal hairdressers. They’re so much more involved with u and caring about how it turns out. It takes longer but it’s sm more worth it. I have what feels like professionally styled hair that cost me like £20 😭😭

As an alumni cosmetologist student the two words “piggy back” still make me gag

yall she didn’t say when she got the perm so her hair could still be virgin hair and all the damaged parts from the last perm are already cut off. u would be surprised how fast hair grows.

Until you work in a salon while you are in cosmetology school, and you see your first time a client lying about their hair said to my boss she wanted a perm, never had one. had one, a week before, didn't work, so she went to us. Anyone ever seen and felt over processed hair snot? 🤦‍♀️
Needles to say, we where in shock, client confessed, had a pixie cut, and we hope she never tried to lie about her hair history 🤦‍♀️😑

the only thing i have to say about this is when people say, "natural curls" it bugs because pretty much any curl of any type is natural if you take care of it right.

Fun fact certain genetic conditions and medication can affect your perm! How do I know? I have hyper mobile EDS and apparently it causes my hair to be stretchy! Which makes it not take a perm same as my mother who also has EDS

Tight curls are natural... Kind of a weird thing to say

I was never taught how to do a consultation at cosmetology school. That was on point! Took me about a year working in salons to fully figure out how to. But of course my cosmetology school wasn’t very special…it was at a technical school
