Love how he calls a game pretty even. Most annoucers are biased to their team but Sam makes great calls even for opposing players. Definitely one of the best.

When I started following the Rangers, It was Jim Gordon and Phil Esposito calling the games and Sam Rosen was on MSG sports desk. Sam stepped in and took it over like a Pro. My earliest fondest Memories of Sam calling games was during the 1986 playoff run with Esposito. JD stepped in smoothly and was brilliant. It took a while for me to warm up to Joe because he was a former Islander broadcaster, but he has my respect. Thank you Sam Rosen for the many great calls and hope you remain with us Rangers for many more years 👍

Great job Sam! Great to see my goaltending idol as a kid--JD. I laugh now because when I watch videos of him in net--I'm thinking "Holy crap he's terrible! All that wasted movement." No wonder I also sucked playing goal. Oh well, great moment at MSG. Gave me chills.
