This last month has been extremely emotionally taxing for me. A few weeks ago I experienced heart break for the first time - being already in my 20s - in my life, and even though it's still hard now, the first week was nightmarish. I couldn't bare to listen to my Spotify favorites because they were choc filled with love songs of all shapes and sizes, and it was then that I remembered that a long time ago I had heard a few of your songs and liked them, so I figured it was a safe bet - if there would be any love involved, it would only be platonic or aimed towards our Lord.
Within the first hour of listening to your songs this comforting thought popped in my head - that I wasn't alone. God has a way, always, and perhaps this heartbreak was necessary to become a better person and meet the actual soulmate somewhere down the road once I'm ready for it. Seeing it not as being left alone, but as God's way of saying that man's chapter in my life has finished, and it's time to start a new one, gives me the hope for the future that I need right now to cope.
Thanks to your songs, my belief in the Lord and His doings was rekindled from a tiny flame to a white hot fire. Thanks to both you and Him, I've accepted what happened and find the strength to move on, and face the future with hope and excitement.
It is still difficult, and probably will be for a long time, but I know I'm not alone now and I can get through it. Thank you for proving that - and I am forever grateful to the One who has loved me first, and no matter what I do, will remain by my side.
Keep being amazing, Sidewalk Prophets. May your lives be always be filled with the Lord's blessings, who I am sure is smiling down on you fondly. :)
