When Prof Prashad spoke of how today's youth are seeing the photos coming out of Palestine Gaza and be affected for life and forming a dislike for Israel. Well, in 1967, on our first colour TV, watching the news at the age of 15, I saw a green meadow, full of white dots and a couple of splayed out human forms in what appeared to be white dresses in the shadow of the small aircraft. That visual has never left me and from that point on, I disliked Israel (not Jews mind, but Israel, the "country") and have supported the Palestinians since. I couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that so shortly after having experienced terror in Europe during the WWII, they would do it to other peoples. I still can't. Thank you for your great guests!

Thank you Vijay...I think the younger generation in the u.s. is finally seeing this reality of how harmless and peaceful Palestinians are. The problem is israel, not palestine...and not arabs or even muslims. But the u.s. has a long way to go before reality, the actual truth, will be known. I didn't realize that the USA hadn't dropped their trade embargo against Cuba after all these years. Wow, that is a long embargo/sanction period.

The statement 'No moral equivalence ' to me seems to sum up the situation in a frightening way. It reflects a sense of moral and racist superiority. A defense of nationalist entitlement that justifies any degree of violent retribution. No wonder the people of the countries surrounding Israel are feeling so angry and fearful!

When Morocco was occupied by France, french committed ferocious atrocities in its was French general who was designated to Morocco who saw, noted the first hand suppression n oppression, he was so moved by the plight of Morracans that he started empathising with their cause n brought about some reforms to ease the situation. Morroco has a astreet in his name. of heart is always there when confronted with harsh reality.

I was a child when I saw tearful people ( didnt know whoz who) crying and kissing the ground and leaving..the plight of those people compounded and I am old ..Palestinian cause is just and they should get their homeland back
