Another advantage about not needing tinted visor are tunnels. In Italy we have so many of them and it's very practical using like this on the helmet.

You didn't mention the new one finally has a small open crack position on the visor, something owners have wanted since the original gt-air 1.

Is it worth upgrading from the GT-Air 1 version to the version 3?

Looks more promising but is still pretty heavy. My only gripe (and it’s a minor gripe) is the counter-intuitive drop visor toggle! Down is up, up is down! 🤷

It looks a bit rounder. A little wider.

In Thailand, GT air3 will be available after middle of this year 2024. Shall I wait to buy Air3 or let buy air 2 right now.

The micro ratchet system killed it for me. Double D all the way.

I just want to add my experience to maybe help someone.

Coming from a GT AIR 2 I planned to buy a GT AIR 3.

Long story short, I returned it after 10 minutes only. The sun visor on the GT AIR 3 goes down if you ride with the clear visor open!!! it even lets air in. very bad quality IMO,

Also, side note, it actually seemed worse in terms of noise than the gt air 2.

So yeah, if you're like me, stay with the GT AIR 2.

Shoei if you read this as you should, pay attention: We need future nxr3 and gtair4 or a new model to have:
Much Better multi stage adjustable ventilation where its fully open position leads to a -1 degree Celsius inside temperature vs outside temperature instead of the same inside and outside like this gtair 3.
A drop down sunvisor that goes lowdown not to get on our field of view BUT with a dropdown button next to the base of the helmet not the side as it ruins the Aesthetic completely not to mention its aerodinAmics! Pay attention to the competition HJC's dropdown sunvisor system and Arai ESPECIALLY Arai's interior lining at it is the absolute best in confort it slides down our heads butter smooth every single time and That is all we dream of in a top of the line sport touring helmet.

As for 2023 me and my club rider friends all went for te better sport touring helmets of the moment hjc rpha71 and rpha 91.

Apologies for disagreeing, but I own both previous gens and love them. Saw a prior review on this new one and I’m not impressed. I’m probably the minority though, so I will just leave it at that. Nice presentation. 👍🤪🏳️‍🌈
