It’s been a minute I just came here to say what’s up saint Man been following you since I watched you when I got my Roland 8800. Now I’m strictly iPad and no more rap and r&b. Strictly techno and house artist. Good stuff to see you still rocking. Def The Godfather of tutorial and production

Mannn I was deciding between the MPC keys and the Fantom 06. I got the keys because I never owned an MPC but I've had a vs840 and a Fantom X6. Good to see how it works!!

Hopefully I could get an answer here. The USB memory slot, am I capable of having any expansions/samples stored ONLY on my USB flashdrive, and still use them on my Fantom-08 without having to actually install them onto the Fantom's storage? I love my Fantom so far but the 256mb internal storage is killing me.

What’s the difference between expansion and sound packs? Is there a way to install more than 10 expansions ?

Some of the SDZ packs come with drum kits, can you import them to the fantom? I know you can’t on the Jupiter XM which is unfortunate because some of them are pretty good.

Yo St. Joe question bro...Is there a way to get the Fantom 0 to send audio to Maschine MK3. I figured out how to send the midi but can't get any audio, I'm not sure if its a setting from the Fantom or Maschine. I was able to get midi and audio setup in Studio One but it doesn't seem to work the same in Maschine. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey Joe, I put all of these on my usb stick also and went to install them, and it would literally only let me install 4 out of the 16 packs? Do you have to install a couple at a time, and then install more, or is there just not enough space on the Roland Fantom 06? This is a huge problem for me if this is all the space this unit has.

Do they give you more storage with the new update, because I haven't yet updated my Fantom 06 since I got it, but this doesn't make sense. There's not even gb's of storage space, it's mb's from what I'm seeing or understanding? What is Roland thinking? This is an expensive piece of gear here, not just a couple hundred dollars.

Can you or someone else fill me in here on why I can only install a couple of sound packs? Or do I have to go into them separately after I install a couple, and get rid of the sounds in the packs that I don't want to use? Please, somebody that has knowledge on this? Thanks...SBN RESONATE

So unless you write down the starting slot number in which you imported your sound pack SDZ number, you then lose them all and can't differentiate between each sound pack. That's poor implementation. Either the Sound pack patch number should have SDZ- prefix (like SP021-#--patchname) instead of hash symbol otherwise its useless working out which packs you applied and which ones you didn't. Then when it comes to factory reset you have to remember which SDZ slot position you started from. Additionally, it would be nice for SDZ's installed to show up on EXPANSION INFO PAGE and the publishers of the sound packets publish a readme with a list of patchnames slot 1-69 or something and potentially in the PARAM section have an info meta tag including author, packname description. Or am I talking just common programming logic here? 😛 The model expansions at least have a reserved slot position index number.
