Dear Nevşin, USA has been pursuing the great middle east project(BOP) for decades and the Turkish president had declared that he was supporting BOP not very long ago and you seem to totally ignore this fact and project the current situation of Syria from an unrealistically optimistic point of view. Opposition party knows much better than you think and Turkey must be taking precautions in case USA and Israel team up with YPG to pursue their goals in Syria and accuse Turkey for supporting the terrorist organization HTS, even if the probability of this occuring were very low. As you mentioned USA has a very strong initiative in the region and unless we are very careful positive seeming streams may turn backwards all of a sudden. The smart move for Turkey would be to find a common ground with the dominant forces in the region esp USA, Israel and EU to agree on establishing a stable running government and economy in Syria while strictly opposing establishment of terrorist states on our borders and be extra asserive about our nations security.
