Umineko no Naku Koro ni or Umineko When They Cry is a really fun and mind boggling murder mystery manga with some horror and romance. It has a badly adapted anime which will confuse you so either the manga or visual novel is the way to go about the story of battler ushiromiya and beatrice. Just a small warning: Don't watch the anime adaptation of this series. It cuts out a lot of very important details and is overall badly paced imo. That, and only the first half of the series, was adapted.

As a side note, if you have time *please* read the visual novel instead. Despite the manga being really good, the visual novel is a work of art that will make you feel emotions you probably didnt even think you could feel. I still tear up when going back to some parts of the game.

Umineko is the best visual novel and story I’ve seen. You’ll never experience anything like it. DONT GET SPOILED ELSE YOULL NEVER EXPERIENCE IT
