WHAKATOKANGA Mo te Tukunga Noa !!!
(See below for English translation of description)
Also known as Earth, God, Aging Man and The Maori Galaxy, The Te Māngai Pāho Closing Logo has been an iconic ending to many Kiwi shows since its release in 2003, and is still used. This Te Mangai Paho Closing Logo is the second Logo used by the broadcasters, the fist being called Toi Tu Te Reo, or The Little Girl, which was retired when this one was released.
Te Mangai Paho (Maori Broadcast Funding Agency) is the NZ entity responsible for the promotion of the Māori language and Māori culture by providing funding for Māori-language programming on NZ radio and NZ TV.
It was established in 1989 under the name Te Reo Whakapuaki Irirangi, and is administered by the Ministry of Justice, but uses the name Te Māngai Pāho or TMP in official publications.
