they're fun, but I don't think I'll ever be 5dan ever. The gap between 4dan and 5dan is gigantic. I can barely get past the first 5dan song with 97.5%+ accuracy so yeah... not happening.

Story of this video: dont play dans (like seriously dont play them. As an experienced mania player dans doesnt mean actual skill since u can usually be specialised on one skill such as jack, and tank the rest of the map. Also it fucks with ur pov of mania skill in general

jacks, tech, streams, and stamina which is usually a jumpstream or handstream map

for me stamina is no boss song, it might even be the thing that help me to recover from the abyss and usually speed/jack is the hardest song for me

I am SO glad to see that these maps mess with all mania-style VSRG players and not just me. As an FNF player, I've found it VERY hard to tell how good I am because of every FNF player ever going "OH WOW YOU'RE CRACKED YOU FC'D BLAMMED YOU MUST BE THE BEST EVER" (This is obviously not impressive in the slightest I've done way crazier stuff than this lol)

dans are split into 4 parts,
1st is always "Jack"
we are all familiar with jacks, but dan courses always have chordjacks.

2nd is "Tech"
tech maps have changing rhythms throughout the map, so its not just an ongoing rhythm like the other maps.

3rd map is "Speed"
these type of maps are very often singlestreams (not jumpstreams or handstreams)

4th and final map is "Stamina"
these maps are usually handstreams or jumpstreams(like angel of darkness), these are also mostly very long and with minimal breaks.

The point of the "Dan" course is to measure your skill in every one of these aspects in the game. It calculates how good of a play you are in general, not in a specific mapping style.

this is mania maps in general lmao. The difficulty jump from 4 to 5 stars is insane, its not just dans. Dans aren't a clear representation of ones skill either bc everyone has different skillsets.
