How to Build a Concrete Fence

This week's project if about the concrete fence I built for my property last year. Life happens so I didn't have time to gather all the pics I took into a YouTube video.

The story behind this concrete fence is very simple. I wanted to build something durable but unique; a fence that will take your breath away and make you want one, as well. The foundation, the base and the pillars for the fence are made from concrete that was mixed on site. The cappings are made from polished travertine noce, while the panels are made from deckings boards.

The concrete has been reinfoced with rebars, as you can see in the diy video tutorial. I have not used concrete wall for my fence, as I wanted something which will last forever. After the concrete dried out, we have applied a few coats of cement render and finally the decorative paint.

I really hope you like this concrete fence with wooden panels and metal gates, because I really invested a lot of time, energy and money into building it. I still have a few finishing touches to add to it, so I will come back with a video update after I'm done with everything.

Not considered a fence by our zoning code… rather a free-standing wall and subject to more strict setbacks and height restrictions.

Looked great, but then you used wood?? You should have used steel, or chrome steel, or painted Iron, between the concrete Pillars

It would have been nice to see the final product. I was unable to because of the pops ups trying to get me to watch additional videos. Not worth the frustration of possibly going through that again.
