Guys, no word is useless to know. If you want the most common words you can find lists of those on the internet as well.

So grateful for your thoughtful inclusion of the the Russian words for: lady bug, gorilla, Ottava, hockey, koala, raspberry, hurricane & other such useful words among the 2000 essential words for foreigners in Russia! Of course I'll need to repeat them hundred of times to remember them, but at least if I ever get lost in Moscow, I would always be able to tell someone - in my best Russian accent of course - "koala, hurricane, gorilla, lady bug", rasberry, hockey & I'm sure somebody there could direct me straight away to "Ottava"'s mental health asylum.

Im not so sure many of these words come under 'must know' category. Unless turtle, Cube and Camel are a necessity for a beginner.

When you finally can read some Russian, but you sound like that kid In school who didn't want to get called on because he couldn't read very well. So he's over there sounding out each letter but gets the word correct ish. That's me right now haha but progress is progress thank you for this video!

When it's about a verb, it would be wise to add "to" before the English verb. Also, words like "far" are rather understood as adverbs, hence : daleko, rather than dalëky.

I really like this video a lot because it gives you words, not sentences sentences.Sentences are too much for me right now. I need the words first in order to put the sentences together later on.

“Listen” is typically translated as «слушать» (like listening to music) and «слышать» as to “hear”

More like "the name of 2000 countries in Russian". Cut all those countries names and you've got a very useful video.

Awesome words. I think it would have been better to order them from most used words to least used words imho.
