Wool socks are a must have for your shoes if you are walking alot, running or fighting. Even in the summer they are comfortable and they don't chafe (irritate your skin).

Omg thanks so much for this, I've never tried LARP (really want to though) I'm an Actor/Filmmaker and been looking to get footware for a film my friend and I want to shoot. But I never realised what LARP meant. Seen swords n such and thought they were just film props. This I am gonna look into and I hope theres something like this in Scotland I can go to! Zinc oxide tape is amazing stuff to apply to sore feet or blisters.you can also tape your feet up with it as a prevention against blisters and sores. Another major point is to keep your feet dry, use talcum powder and change socks often

Tip: Have two pair of boots, one pair can be drying all day while you wear the other pair of boots.

The CP Abenteuer shop is interesting. I was searching something or my crappy sabatons, took me like 1.5 hour work to craft 2 pairs in alu so the time mirrors the looks they have (my armor ended up around 50-55kgs of steel so i went for light stuff on the feet), still on the rare stomping/hit would feel the rivets of my shoes, It's hard to find rivetless shoes today.
I'm not into LARP but some items i saw on Sonjas Videos, used by LARPers are really cool.
If i would live in Germany I would try one of those LARP thing.

Get hold of some saddle soap to help maintain and soften your leather shoe [and prevent them rubbing].

If you can put a sole inner of your shoe with sheep skin or another thing I have used for my shoes is dubbin but it does leave black shoes. Also when you go to bed get your shoes and socks off and get oxygen to your feet because you need air on your feet to keep them healthy, Thank you for the advice on blisters.

Two pairs of wool socks, yeah Lindybeige already said it but I'm saying it again. Two pairs of wool socks - no blisters and wet feet are more bearable (or just buy ariats) #sitandspin
