I wonder how historians of the future will look back on things like pop culture and media? The Simpsons is so iconic and long-running that they will for sure be noteworthy in future textbooks.

People really need to stop freaking out over these "predictions".

These aren't predictions. They're observations of basic human nature and historical patterns. Creative folks like artists/writers/animators/etc do this literally all the time. The Simpsons is FAR from the first show to "predict" major societal events. Anyone can do it. Literally just put deep thought into the nature of human society for seconds.

It doesn't take spiritual or mystic or psychic powers to predict the future. Just look at the past, look at the present, and say "yup, it's happening again, alright".
