SK was my favorite tool brand, but I don't think I will be buying too many more tools from SK. I guess it will all depend on how they do business after they sold. Those ratchets definitely look like SK ratchets to me. Another great video Tony!

Good video. You can never have too many rachets like clay koon of koon truck and cp the tool addict. Keep the videos coming.

Since SK was sold to China, Olsa high tooth ratches have become very appealing.

Made in USA Williams is a great for the 36 tooth count ratchets. I believe discontinued Snap-On get the Wiliams branding.

Looks like a nice ratchet it’s hard to beat the long Pittsburgh 3/8 flex head I think I paid like 25 bucks for it 72 tooth I’ve had it warrantied a couple times since I’ve been working professionally in shops but it’s usually my go to a little longer then the Mac I have but not a arm length like my snap on

Good film, as always, Triple-T. The Olsa ratchet looks nice. I am behind in the ratchet race. I have only 4-1/4” ratchets, 5-3/8” ratchets, and 1-1/2” ratchet. My school work has me putting any automotive repair side work off to the side for the foreseeable future, but I still do my DIY stuff.

I understand that Olsa tools is correcting their mistake of not actually having USA stamped on the tool but, one would think as much as they tout the ratchet being made in the USA, those three little letters should have been stamped on the ratchet from the start. That has to be the ugliest direction switch on any ratchet on the market. I remember when the SK LP90 series first launched and the 3/8 drive standard ratchet had an anodized green direction switch that was much better looking than the pot metal looking thing they changed to on later versions. It might have been the lighting but, the ratchet head appears to have better chrome than the handle. I hope the Olsa flex head is better than the SK LP90 series flex head. I know my SK version had binding issues with the direction switch and full range of motion of the head itself. Lastly, I'm not sure about the made in USA premium price difference. A Tekton 3/8 drive 90 tooth flex head ratchet runs $44 and a Gearwrench version runs $57.70. Is the Olsa version really worth over twice the price? Time will tell. Good video, thanks for sharing.

Looks like a super nice 3/8 for stuff above the floorboard. Going to switch to Tekton the next opportunity after watching some of your videos.

My biggest complaint on cheaper ratchets is the drag or when it switches to on or off while in tight places. Ten clicks forward and the 5 clicks back drives me nuts. I deal with that enough in my my daily life without my ratchet doing the same thing to me 🤣

You should check out the PROTO XL series, just the standard lower tooth count options ( 45 in the 1/4 4749xl ) have fine teeth and very light back drag.
They are buttery smooth.
I haven't tried the " premium " high tooth count option yet because the standard offering impressed me enough.

A lot of people seem to overlook them.

Tony, been watching your vids. I’ve been flipping cars and fixing as a weekend warrior and have done quite a bit from 4 bangers to v8 but mostly v6. The more info the more help I get and give from others. The ones I respect seem to recommend me using more 3/8. I’m always trying to use 1/2 inch ratchet for more power as long as it fits. I’ve even had some I respect say I should basically use 3/8” whenever possible and if I hav Ethan as my general rule of thumb then I will learn when 1/2” is necessary. I’d love to hear your idea on ratchets as u r way more experienced than anyone I work on these projects with. And I have no idea. Thx

Great review as always my awesome patriotic 🇺🇸 brother Tony. The major issue or problem I have and OLSA Tools knows this from me is if these ratchets are Made In The USA, why is there NOT and Made In The USA logos or USA Flag imprinted on the head and or the body of the ratchets? OLSA has not addressed this problem or if going forward they will have MADE IN THE USA 🇺🇸 on them. They should know that a majority of there customers that will buy there products are us USA citizens. We take a lot of pride with our tools stating Made In The USA 🇺🇸.
I wanted to buy them, but No Way Now.

I just bought an SK 🇺🇸 made fixed head half inch drive ratchet for $123... if these are comparable to the SK ratchet then I can understand the price because we aren't going to be able to get those anymore

Funny enough after 2 month waiting for it I got a ratchet today from the other end of the quality line. I got a Sata 1/4 dr with rubber grip. It was bone dry so I had to add lub.

$188.00 ? If I were to spend that much money on a ratchet, it would be the Snap On hard handle in pearl blue.

Nice video but at roughly 115 each I can get tool truck ratchets for that from my dealer. Are you still with the race team???

Seems like a decent ratchet and with a decent price point.

They should invent a gator grip ratchet that doesn't require sockets. And make it with a pink comfort grip. :)

Nice ratchet…looks a lot like Tecton on the inside

Nice video. I'm looking for a locking or semi locking long handle flex head ratchet now. However, my budget is 60-80
